The Journey Towards Happiness
Happiness is intrinsic to our lives and takes different forms at RPG. We began our journey a few years ago with a promise that formed the bedrock our new Vision Statement, UNLEASH TALENT, TOUCH LIVES, OUTPERFORM, AND .
Our Vision tenets clearly outline the path we will all collectively traverse – one that seeks to propel every RPGian to overcome their own limitations; one that will drive each of us to contribute and shape the lives of others around us positively; an organisation where dreams will not be bounded by fences. Tenets that bring joy around us.
“Hello Happiness” our official motto was launched to take our agenda of happiness forward.
Hello Happiness, was a bold statement, but it was one that opened doors to multiple possibilities and endless opportunities; a statement that signifies our intent to touch and enrich the lives of others and work collectively towards a common goal that makes each of us rise beyond our limitations. Most of all, it was a step forward to what we always wanted to be, a truly happy organisation where great work happened because of it.
Happiness is also this place called RPG. It is a place where we meet some extraordinary colleagues, learn from the most inspiring of leaders, and do meaningful work that truly leaves an impact, on our businesses and the lives around us.
Building a Framework for Happiness
We have designed a proprietary framework to determine our Happiness Quotient, which will not only make our Happiness philosophy tangible, but also help us...
... design initiatives, policies and practices that are relevant and important for our people. Our Happiness Framework will now be the driving force behind everything we do, everywhere, and every day. This will aim to increasingly strengthen and sustain our work environment that empowers our people and enables outperformance.
Happiness Champions Taskforce
The Task Force is a Group-wide initiative, which focuses on delivering happiness to people (through processes, policies, and events) as you experience key moments and events in your life cycle within RPG. The Happiness Framework serves as the guiding light for this Task Force as they develop initiatives that align with the identified elements.
Each group company is guided by a Happiness Council, which is chaired by members of the senior leadership who are involved in implementing organisation-wide initiatives through multiple touch points. These chosen members are the Happiness Ambassadors of the organisation, embodying the spirit of happiness that RPG stands for. People, Policies and Processes will be looked at through a lens of holistic development, which will showcase the voice of our people.
A first-of-its-kind Happiness Issue by a leading Indian magazine. Through the enriching campaign, we uncovered numerous facets and dimensions of happiness. We heard inspiring stories from various corners of the world; experts and spiritual leaders shared insights and recognized champions of happiness. Stories of kindness and triumph poured in from various corners of the country.
Redefining happiness at workplace, Happiness Labs is about creating and nurturing a “hive network” of employees that support, cocreate, and thrive together, bonded in an equitable, empowered and enriching environment. The Lab handholds in finding “everyday moments” of Happiness, propelling every employee to reach their highest potential and become the best version of themselves. Happiness Labs is dedicated to finding out what makes GenZ happy, and have the best practices in place for future GenZ workforce. A lighthouse for all things happy, Happiness Labs is an all heart initiative backed by the conviction that Happy Employees are the biggest asset in RPG’s balance sheet!HAPPINESS LABS
Future of Happiness
GenZ is our future workforce. But, they are burdened by our past. Our past that needs to be altered by them. From dealing with the uncertainties of climate change, to the way products are marketed towards them. Social media trends and opinions, that offer numerous choices but also complicates the obvious. All hindering the benefits that an old system of happiness can offer.
So, at RPG, we embarked on extensive research to understand the needs of this new generation. A study that panned across 13 Indian cities, done by Yuvaa Insights Studio. All with an aim to understand what happiness means for GEN Z. And what we can do to offer an efficient work environment for this future. To know more..
