Future Factories

This programme prepares factories across businesses for the future by leveraging digital technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Cloud, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality. One of the key successes was that an RPG company CEAT became the first tyre company in the world to receive the Lighthouse designation by the World Economic Forum.

Smart Products

Digital technology paves the way for Smart Products, which in turn enable new business models and revenue streams for the Group.

Connected Customer

One of the biggest advantages of digitalisation is the ability to get closer to the customer. This has enabled brand building and a reduction in cost of our customer acquisition.

Digital@Work

Enabling the field force, technicians and employees on the ground with digital technology has helped reduce cycle times, increase safety and efficiency and improve customer experience by delivering real-time information of operations.

Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning – Leveraging the power of data, we have instituted a focused team to adopt AI/ML to build new platforms and solutions.

Robotic Process Automation – We have taken RPA across RPG functions and businesses to make lives of people better by automating all mundane and repetitive tasks.

Blockchain and Metaverse – We are experimenting with both these new technologies proactively.

HR Digital – Given the spread and number of people working around the globe, we have a dedicated HR Digital team working on elevating employee experience by leveraging Digital.

RPG Innovation Festival

This mega platform showcases innovative projects and gives opportunities to thousands of RPGians across the globe. Participants undergo multiple rounds of evaluation to distill down to the top 30 projects. These are then presented in an interactive and engaging manner every year.

The festival celebrates innovation across all aspects of business.

GreenBall: New ideas that are not yet implemented but make for a robust business case.
Kahuna: Business model changes to enhance value creation.
NeoStar: New or substantially improved versions of products, services or solutions.
Darwin: Redesign existing processes for substantial improvement.
Solstice: Innovation that has delivered a significant impact on society, communities or the environment.
Supernova: High potential innovation that failed to achieve the desired results.

Click is RPG’s internal crowdsourcing platform that gives an opportunity to every RPGian to participate in solving critical problems across all businesses, by leveraging the power of collective ideation.
