Episode 34: Sometimes, unknown can be a great growth opportunity

In the dynamic landscape of corporate life, finding genuine happiness amidst deadlines and daily meetings is through a transformative journey of self-discovery and professional fulfillment. This is what I have learned in my over two-year stint at RPG. I have come to realise that true happiness lies in the myriads of opportunities where every day is a new and exciting challenge that leaves you better than yesterday.

I began my journey with RPG in the latter half of 2021 as Program Manager - MD’s Office at RPG Life Sciences (The Dark Horse of the RPG Group). Hailing from a data analytics and consulting background with no operational experience in the pharmaceutical industry, my journey since has been full of excitement and learning. The opportunities provided by the organisation helped me evolve a mindset of strategic thinking as I gained a 360-degree overview of operating a turnaround business at the very start.

True to RPG Group’s commitment of Unleashing Talent, Outperformance, Touching Lives, and Smile, my manager has always been a passionate advocate for my learning journey, presenting me with projects and challenges that not only help me advance along my journey of business strategy but also help me see each day as an exciting new start at learning something new. The multitude of operations and daily tasks across functions has helped break the monotony that is often associated with corporate jobs as every challenge forces me to bring in a different skillset.

In addition to this, all the learnings that I have garnered through my interactions with peers across group companies comprising of multiple industries have been a cherry on the cake as they have helped me walk this path feeling well-rounded.
As I look back, all I can say is that it has been nothing less transformational experience for me. And for this, I will be forever grateful to all the colleagues and mentors with whom I continue walking this path of delight and happiness.
