Manufacturing Facilities

KEC today, boasts of the largest production capacity in the world for tower manufacturing of about 150,000 MTs per annum spread over three state of the art manufacturing facilities in India. In these facilities, the company manufactures steel structures required for transmission & distribution lines, telecom and railways infrastructure. It also has close association with five Value Added Partner Manufacturing facilities (VAPs) who provide exclusive capacity of more than 60,000 MTs per annum. It is also associated with more than 400 vendors and over 25 logistics service providers.

KEC also has three cables manufacturing facilities in India. These are well equipped with manufacturing and testing facilities for the entire range of power cables and telecom cables.

Tower Testing
KEC has four of Asia's most sophisticated tower testing stations, capable of testing towers of upto 1200 kV transmission line. KEC has put up Asia’s largest transmission line tower testing station at Butibori, near its existing tower manufacturing factory. KEC also has three more tower testing facilities located at Vashi near Mumbai, Jabalpur in MP and Jaipur in Rajasthan. With this, KEC is the only Transmission Line EPC Company in the world to have four tower testing stations to take care of any tower for any application.

Engineering and Design Capabilities
KEC has Design Centres in Mumbai (India) and New Delhi (India) with around 100 engineering experts who continuously develop innovative, construction-friendly and cost-effective designs. Design facilities are equipped with latest softwares like BOCAD, PLS Tower, PLS CAD, Google Earth. It is fully equipped to provide computerized engineering solutions, 3D analysis and design for optimizing steel usage.
