Empower women by supporting them to develop a gender equitable society, where women have equal opportunities and rights to engage, participate and contribute to national development.
Women empowerment is very essential to see our country grow economically, politically and socially. Often challenged by a number of obstacles that restrict their ability to play significant roles in their community and broader society. Our Project Swayam imparts training to women from less privileged background to be trained in skills that will enable them to procure jobs in the transport/logistic sector and healthcare sector.Swayam provides training to women from less privileged backgrounds to work in the non-traditional transport and logistics sector as commercial drivers, last mile two-wheeler delivery professionals, forklift operators, autorickshaw drivers amongst others.
Under this project (formerly known as Sanjeevani), we also provide opportunities for women and young girls to take up alternate livelihood in the healthcare space. Through our training partners, specialised courses like General Duty Assistants, Patient Care Assistants, Home Health Aide Assistant training, Diploma courses like GNM, etc. are imparted to the beneficiaries.
Special focus is given towards placing these trained women so that they can be economically empowered. We have trained more than 3500 women to take up employment in Transport & Logistics sector and more than 3000 women are trained as Healthcare professionals since the inception of this project.
