The Mother Theresa Exhibition

Organized by the RPG Academy of Art, Mother Teresa was the academy’s second show in 1996. Paintings of the mother and her noble work were made by renowned artists of the country. The show invited art-lovers to experience the sensitive portrayal of poverty and suffering, the joy of giving and receiving, and of the incredible feeling of doing ordinary things with extraordinary love, through art.

The exhibition also provided a forum for Mumbaikars to send their own personalized messages of goodwill and speedy recovery to Mother Teresa, in words or pictures. This compilation was presented to her in Kolkata as a gift from the citizens of Mumbai
