RPG Pharma eyes tieups to tread tough global terrain

RPG Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the newly hived-off entity of RPG Life Sciences Ltd, is set for a major revamp by creating a strong presence in high regulated markets like the US, Europe and semi regulated markets like Latin America. The company, keen to launch its API (active pharmaceutical ingredients) products and formulation drugs, is currently in talks with local players in each of these countries for establishing its presence.

The company, mainly into the pharma biotechnology sector through fermentation and strain improvement processes, is expanding its fermentation facility at Ankleswar and its API manufacturing facility in Navi Mumbai to make its compliant with USFDA and UKMHRA norms. The company's focus is mainly on APIs and formulations in the oncology and immunosuppressant sector.
