CEAT may set up own truck, bus radial tyre facility

CEAT Ltd, part of the RPG group, may set up a truck and bus radial tyre plant on its own if it is unable to find a joint venture partner. CEAT's plans are in step with the group's intentions of doing business in India's growing bus and truck radial tyre segment. The company, which has set aside Rs 500 crore, has yet to find a suitable business partner. It is also investing Rs 250-300 crore in specialty tyre.
