Development Centers
The idea is to enable employees to develop and demonstrate skills that are more likely to ensure success in the next role.
A development centre is a three day exercise during which participants are made to go through a battery of tests case discussions, simulations, personality tests & group discussions. Each of the tests is developed and
administered to assess predetermined competencies. DCs like the Corporate university are also aligned and conducted across three levels:
DC I: For high performing Managers (3 yrs of 3+ rating)
DC II: For high performing Senior Managers / Chief Managers (3 yrs of 3+ rating)
DC III: For all General Managers / Vice Presidents
At the end of each DC every participant gets individual feedback and also gets an individual Development Action Plan. The learning inputs can then be identified through the brochure and a learning map can be developed. DC inputs are crucial inputs for career planning and the organisational planning of resources.
