The Flashback- Flashforward Exhibition

The Flashback – Flashforward exhibition was organized by the RPG Academy of Art in 1991. The show, held in Mumbai, focused on giving Indian art a historical perspective; a look at the best in Indian art from the past to the present and to what might be its future.

The exhibition was in two parts: “Turning point” and “New Millennium, New Media”. The first part looked at art of the last five decades -- pre and post-independence, presenting the works of 11 most distinguished senior Indian artists. The second section featured 10 younger artists, seeking to establish themselves in the seamless global art scenario.
