The RPG Group philosophy has always stressed upon nurturing talent from within the
organisation. With this in mind, the 'catching them young' dictum is applied to
fresh talent spotting through the system of summer internships.
We take on a large number of summer interns who are then given live projects to work
on in different functions across the group. These interns work directly under the GMs
and VPs. They are given autonomy in their work and their views and suggestions are
often implemented. This freedom at workplace brings out the best in them.
These projects are evaluated on certain parameters and the individuals are given
pre placement offers based on the work done.
To encourage the interns and to reward their hard work RPG introduced the Arjuna
. These were given to the Best Projects across the Group and comprise
Group Management Resource:
GMRs are recruited for specific roles as per the requirements and are thus put on the job from the start. They have the opportunity to join diverse businesses. Roles are customised to meet the individual needs & career aspirations. The GMR team is given an elaborate induction which is unique to RPG.
They are offered cross functional exposure to enhance their knowledge of the business. These dynamic individuals, with their eagerness to learn and enthusiasm to perform, complement the forward looking outlook at RPG.
RPG Group HR has designed an innovative, elaborate and a unique Talent Management process so as to create a signature experience of the Brand RPG for fresh talent that comes aboard. The intention is to ensure that inductees are sustained in their enthusiasm to partner in the continuing growth of the group.
It familiarises young inductees with the history of RPG, its rich culture, the strategic plans for the present and its future goals. The campus recruits are the Brand Ambassadors of the RPG Group.
A week long induction is designed, for them across functions and the companies. The induction is structured to provide an understanding of the diverse businesses within the Group and meet with the senior managers.
