RPG, as a part of its Group Management Resources (GMR) Program, selects talent from some of the finest management institutes of the country including IIM-A, IIM-C, ISB, XLRI. The selection process for the program is rigorous where RPG’s senior leaders visit campuses and select the best talent.
The company has an open door policy which has allowed me to interact with Presidents, CEOs, CFOs and VPs and talk about topics related to strategy, business execution and marketing. You can knock on the door of any top management leader and talk at length on any topic, be it personal or professional.
I first experienced the RPG culture during my internship and ever since I was sure that this is the brand I want to work for. Working in RPG as a GMR has given me a host of opportunities to work with senior leaders.
RPG’s GMR program is at par with the leadership programs of other conglomerates. Only RPG’s GMR program could have given me this amazing learning opportunity to work for group-level strategy immediately after pursuing MBA. I regularly get to interact with the senior management of group companies for strategy projects. New ideas and process improvement discussions are highly appreciated in this organization. In sum, this program has highly exceeded my expectations.
My first experience with RPG was during my summer internship, wherein I got a chance to work on a project directly under the leadership of Raychem’s HR Head. As a HR GMR, my journey so far has been extremely enriching. From working with the front line sales team in a Business HR stint to being a part of the Group Talent Management team, the exposure has been multidimensional.
I joined RPG Group as a management trainee in supply chain. I have worked in different verticals of supply chain and started with distribution. I got an opportunity to work as production planning head with one of our plants and later on got promoted to GM-Sales and Operations planning.
RPG is an excellent place to work, learn and grow. What I like about RPG is the open culture, caring management, productive meaningful work and freedom to experiment. In KEC Projects and Cables businesses, not only did I get opportunities to work with talented people across multiple units and functions within, but also with our customers, contractors and suppliers.
As part of the GMR program I not only got a holistic understanding of the Group, but also the opportunity to experience varied roles at different Group companies. Assignments and roles with focused mentorship provided by senior management provide an edge in terms of growth. The intent is meritocracy over age and the program completely lives up to it. I think I have benefitted immensely as a young professional as part of the program.
